Personal Data

Recipients of Personal Data

  • third parties and authorities if such disclosure is necessary to comply with legal obligations.

If recipients are located in jurisdictions without adequate legal data protection, any international transfer is carried out based on appropriate safeguards, particularly the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (available at https://ec.europa.eu) or certifications obtained by the recipients (such as self-certification under the Privacy Shield for US-based recipients; see https://www.privacyshield.gov).

Cookies and Google Analytics

Cookies are text files placed on your device to help analyze how users use a website. After the browser session, most of the cookies we use are deleted from your hard drive (“session cookies”). Other cookies remain on your computer (“persistent cookies”) and allow your device to be recognized on your next visit to our website. This allows us to improve your access to our website. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (Google). This website uses Google Analytics with the “anonymizeIP()” extension, which truncates IP addresses before further processing to exclude direct personal identification.

Newsletter

You can subscribe to our newsletter on this website by providing limited personal data as requested in the corresponding sign-up form. For verification purposes, we will send you a confirmation email immediately after completing the registration process.

During this process, we may also store your IP address as well as the date and time of registration. The personal data collected during your registration will be used to send you our newsletter. Our newsletters contain tracking pixels that enable the logging of file records for statistical analysis of our newsletter campaigns. We can see if and when an email was opened and which links in the email were clicked. This personal data may be transmitted to our campaign service provider, who will process the data solely on our behalf and only for other purposes in anonymized form.

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of each newsletter.

Your Rights

We delete your personal data once all processing purposes have been fulfilled. Where we are legally required to retain your personal data, we will delete it after the applicable retention period has ended. You have the right to request access to the data we hold about you, including the right to request correction of incorrect personal data, its restriction, and deletion. Furthermore, subject to applicable law, you may have the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority if you believe our processing of your personal data violates applicable data protection laws.
